A Whisper from Beyond:

Trusting Your First Spiritual Nudge

Have you ever felt something calling you — softly, quietly — like a whisper only your heart could hear?Maybe it was a name spoken when no one was there. A sudden knowing that made no logical sense. A presence beside you in a moment of stillness. Or a pull toward something you couldn't explain, but couldn't ignore. If this sounds familiar, you're not imagining things.

My first memory of the unseen world came when I was just two and a half years old. There was a presence beside me — gentle, loving, always there. While others called it an 'imaginary friend,' I knew it was more. That spirit guide brought me comfort, assurance, and a quiet knowing that I was never truly alone.

As I grew older, my name would sometimes be whispered in moments of stillness. Calm and loving, those whispers made me stop and pay attention. At first, I didn't know what to make of them — but in time, I understood. They were messages from a guide. A nudge from something greater.

A reminder to trust what I could feel, even if I couldn't see it.The truth is, Spirit is always reaching out. And some of us are more attuned to hearing it than others.

How Do You Know If Spirit Is Reaching Out to You?See if any of these feel familiar:You hear your name called when no one is there. You have dreams that feel like messages — vivid, meaningful, hard to shake. You get sudden thoughts or ideas that seem to come from outside yourself.

There's a warmth or presence you can't explain, but it feels loving. Or you feel drawn to something — a book, a path, a person — without knowing why.If you recognized yourself in any of these, take a breath.

You're not making it up. You're not 'too imaginative.' You're simply receiving what's being offered — and that's something you can learn to trust. Those quiet nudges are Spirit's way of saying: You're not alone. You're being guided. But here's the beautiful part: you get to choose how deeply you listen.

Learning to Trust the Whisper

🍃 Pay attention to the quiet moments.

Spirit rarely shouts. It whispers. And those whispers come most clearly when we slow down enough to hear them. That sudden thought that seems to come from nowhere. The dream that lingers long after you wake. The warm feeling that washes over you for no apparent reason — these may be Spirit reaching out.Start noticing. When do these moments happen for you?

What are the conditions that allow them in? The more you pay attention, the more you'll receive.

🌿 🌿 🌿

🍃 Remember your childhood knowing.

As children, we're naturally connected to the unseen. We haven't yet been taught to doubt what we feel or dismiss what we can't prove.Think back. Was there a time you felt deeply held or guided, even if you couldn't explain it? A presence that comforted you?

A knowing that turned out to be true? That inner wisdom was already speaking. It never left — it just got quieter as the world got louder. You can turn up the volume again.

🌿 🌿 🌿

🍃 Say yes to the nudge.

Sometimes Spirit guides us through a gentle pull. A book catches your eye. A class keeps coming up in conversation. A path opens that you hadn't considered. These aren't coincidences. They're invitations.

Here's a practice I use: When I feel that soft tug toward something, I ask myself — Does this feel expansive or contracting?

If it feels like opening, like possibility, like a quiet 'yes' in my body — I trust it. Even if my mind doesn't understand yet.Your soul knows the way before your mind catches up.

🌿 🌿 🌿

🍃 Create space for connection.

Spirit meets us where we make room. If your days are filled edge to edge with noise and busyness, the whispers get drowned out.

You don't need hours of meditation. Even five minutes of stillness — a morning cup of tea in silence, a walk without your phone, a few breaths before bed — creates an opening.Think of it as leaving the door cracked. Spirit will find its way in.

🌿 🌿 🌿

🍃 Trust before you understand.

This might be the hardest one. We want proof. We want to know why before we say yes.But Spirit doesn't always work that way. Sometimes the understanding comes after the trust — not before.I've learned to act on the nudge first and let the meaning reveal itself later. More often than not, looking back, I can see exactly why I was guided in that direction. The clarity comes. But it requires trust first.

🌿 🌿 🌿

A Gentle ReminderYou don't have to see everything clearly to begin. The most profound shifts often start with a whisper, a feeling, or a subtle sign.

Trust those first nudges. They are Spirit's way of saying, 'I'm here. I've always been here. And I'm guiding you home.'Which of these practices are you drawn to try first?
